'The Face of Blogosphere - 2000 bloggers' confused many people. It generated a lot of links and many discussions about Technorati rankings. Some people began sending pompous email asking for removing them from the project as they don't want such links. Some were thrilled that suddenly their Technorati ranking changed from 1.000.000 to 100.000.
Honestly what's wrong with you people?!. Links don't matter, this is not what blogging is about. Above all Technorati isn't good at counting links at all.
For me 2000 bloggers project is about meeting other people and connecting with some people. It exposed and mixed both popular bloggers and unknown bloggers, who write about different things. The 200 bloggers showed the diversity that characterizes blogosphere.
The whole project gives the chance to learn to know new people and new areas and helps you to find the new readers. People, open your mind and don't bother about links too much. Aren't you curious whom other bloggers are? Don't make the face of blogosphere to be ugly :-)
I like a lot Matt's comment he left on my blog this morning. It is a good conclusion for this post.
"I am not sure if we'll be ultimately harmed by the linking, but it certainly has been fun. I have found many terrific blogs, including this one, because of Tino's efforts. Let's not worry about page rank especially if our traffic numbers are still good."
I totally agree.
It's amazing how obsessed people can be with links.
Will you link me, by the way...
ha. Just kiddin.

Yeah, there are some link-crazed fools out there.

I was just interested in being part of what I thought would be an interesting picture, because personally I never thought everyone would have gone around reposting that entire list, simply because it was such a massive image-bomb, eating up time and space to load. To each their own, though.
